Request for Proposal Broadband Construction Contractor

The Bishop Paiute Tribe (“the Tribe”) is soliciting proposals from qualified utility construction and networking firms and/or contractors to install the tribe broadband network infrastructure and network electronics in compliance with the Department of Commerce, National Telecommunications and Information Administration (“NTIA”) Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program round two (“TBCP2”) Funding. The project period of this service will be a twelve (12) month period (April 30, 2026, to April 30, 2027).

Bishop Tribal Council Addresses Illegal Trailers, Travel Trailers & RV's

November 29, 2022: The Bishop Paiute Tribal Council is receiving numerous complaints regarding the number of illegal trailers, travel trailers and RVs parked unlawfully on tribal members’ land assignments. Tribal  Council acknowledges this activity is conducted without any concern for the health and safety of neighbors and/or the community as well as violating Tribal Law pursuant to the Rental Minimum Housing Standards Ordinance, Nuisance Ordinance, Trespassing Ordinance, Tribal Environmental Policy Ordinance, Water & Sewer Policy, and the 1962 Land Ordinance.

Bishop Paiute Tribe Swears-in a Second Tribal Court Judge

After approval to restructure the Tribal Court by the Bishop Paiute Tribal Council, a search was conducted to fill a second judgeship position. On September 15, 2020, Dean T. Stout was sworn in by the Tribal Council to serve as the Chief Judge of the Bishop Paiute Tribal Court.
